




Carole began her professional career in 1995 and has now performed with all major British opera companies. She made her debut with the Royal Opera Covent Garden in 2002, returning regularly since then to sing Mayor's Wife in Jenůfa, Hata in Bartered Bride, Aksinya in Richard Jones' award winning production of Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk, and the Governess in Pique Dame. Her concert venues include the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, St David's Hall, Cardiff, the Bridgewater Hall, Symphony Hall, London's Festival Hall, the Royal Albert Hall and the Usher Hall Edinburgh. She sings as a soloist with the Halifax Choral Society, the Huddersfield Choral Society, Royal Philharmonic Chorus, Glasgow Citizens Choir, the Cardiff Bach Choir, the Norwich Festival Chorus and the City of Birmingham Symphony Chorus.
She has made a number of recordings including Handel's Messiah with the Black Dyke Band and the Halifax Choral Society and the Grammy award winning Jenůfa for Covent Garden.
Carole performs regularly in opera in Europe and the Far East. She broadcasts from the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam and has recently completed two Strauss operas and the Mahler Second Symphony with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, all broadcast throughout the Far East from the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.
Carole's career is now based primarily in Europe. She has performed at De Nederlandse Opera in Amsterdam, Opéra de Montpellier, Opéra de Monte Carlo, Opera Macedonia and Opera do Porto. Most recently, Carole has made debuts at La Scala, Milan and the Opéra National de Paris at the Bastille, singing Aksinya in Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk. She has also appeared to great acclaim at La Monnaie, Brussels, the Theater an der Wien, Vienna and at the Théâtre de Genève.
